In 2015, Ringo Starr unveiled eight further signed portraits of his Beatles bandmates. One or two copies remain of Prints 1, 5 and 8.
50 years ago, Ringo shot on both black-and-white and vibrant colour films, and experimented with psychedelic fish-eye lens effects. His portraits show us George in a moment of quiet reflection; John and Paul recording in the studio; a seventies self-portrait and The Beatles in India.
Reproduced from the negative for the first time as large-format, museum-quality prints, only 25 numbered copies will be created worldwide. Each artwork is signed by Ringo Starr as a mark of authenticity.

'George and I knew each other before I joined The Beatles. I was still with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes here - I can tell by the way I'm dressed. George's leather jacket was part of the Beatle image from Germany.' Ringo StarrGeorge V, Paris, January 1964
'This is a fun shot of Paul and Mal Evans in France. When we were in hotels, we would just look for things to do and have a bit of fun. By looking at the table, you can see that we'd probably had a few drinks.' Ringo StarrNew York, February 1964

'These are taken through the fish-eye lens. I like cameras and I like lenses. I think we all bought a Pentax in Japan the first time we went there. If you look closely, John and Paul are both carrying cameras. India was a great place to go to see something you would never see anywhere else.'
