This Week in 1969: The Doors at Madison Square Garden

55 years ago this week, The Doors took to the stage at Madison Square Garden for an audience of approximately 20,000 people. Making them one of the highest-paid acts of 1969, the band were paid over $50,000 for the show and their setlist featured rare live performances of 'The Soft Parade' and 'Who Scared You', along with fan favourites such as 'Light My Fire,' and 'Wild Child'.

We thought we'd take this opportunity to show you some related writings from Jim Morrison's A Guide to the Labyrinth (please see above) and to draw your attention to the fact that there are now only 25 copies remaining of this landmark limited edition.

LAST 25 COPIES - A Guide to the Labyrinth

A Guide to the Labyrinth is Genesis's largest publication to date. The epic main volume is 608-pages long, lavishly illustrated, and accompanied by spoken word recordings on vinyl, plus exact replicas of two of Jim Morrison's notebooks.

Opening up the Morrison vaults, a large-format main volume presents Jim Morrison's poetry, lyrics, essays and ideas, both typeset and in Morrison's own handwriting throughout. Illustrated with over a hundred rare photographs, drawings, and items of memorabilia, Morrison's commentary narrates the collection, sourced from archival interviews.

Each copy of this limited edition is signed by Robby Krieger, John Densmore, Anne Morrison and Andy Morrison. With only 25 copies remaining, this could be your last chance to secure this landmark edition at AGuideToTheLabyrinth.com today.
