The Rolling Stones Reveal Details of 40th Anniversary Reissue of Tattoo You

The Rolling Stones recently announced the 40th anniversary edition of the band's 1981 album, Tattoo You. The remastered, expanded edition will include at least nine previously unheard songs and is due out on 22 October.

The first unreleased track, 'Living In The Heart Of Love,' is now available on all streaming services.

The original 11-track album includes one of the bands most acclaimed and popular songs, 'Start Me Up,' as well as celebrated cuts such as 'Slave,' which features the Who's Pete Townshend and originally clocked in at 11-minutes, as well as fan-favourite, 'Waiting On A Friend.'

Ronnie Wood previously teased the reissue when he stated in an interview with The Times that he had been working alongside Mick Jagger on the project. In the interview from July, he also spoke about reuniting with Faces' Rod Stewart and Kenney Jones.

The deluxe edition will come in a variety of formats, including a super-deluxe 4CD and 1LP box set that contains a 124-page book with over 200 rare photographs. Other formats include the 2LP that includes the remastered original songs alongside the remastered tracks, and a 2CD edition.

In 2018, Ronnie Wood's artwork was curated to create The Rolling Stones Set Lists, where his quotes and painted set lists turn their tours into art. The limited edition book provides extended analysis from Ronnie and insights into the Rolling Stones' songs and tours.
