Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck Reunite at the Hollywood Bowl

Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck reunited on stage last week at the Hollywood Bowl. The performance marked the first time both musicians had shared a stage in almost a decade.

After performing a seventeen-song set Rod Stewart returned for an encore where he introduced Beck with a story of how the two first met: "In 1966, me and Ronnie Wood were at a nightclub in London and this fellow walked up to us and said, 'Would you like to join our band?' He'd just left the Yardbirds and I'd been fired from the band I was in and Ronnie was fired from the band he was in. Put your hands together for one of the greatest, Jeff Beck!"

The two former Jeff Beck Group bandmates then played a five-song set that included 'Blues Deluxe', 'I Ain't Superstitious', 'People Get Ready', 'Rock My Plimsoul' and 'Morning Dew'.

Jeff Beck's limited edition book Beck01 is currently on display in the Hollywood Bowl shop and will remain there for the next week. Telling the story of Beck's two passions, hot rodding and rock'n'roll, Beck01 provides a unique insight into his world. For more information on the title click here.
