Ringo Starr Announces New EP, 'Change the World'
Ringo Starr announced his upcoming EP last week, entitled Change the World, while making an appearance on Talk Shop Live. The lead single, 'Let's Change the World,' was released shortly afterwards.
The full, four-track EP will be available to stream, purchase or buy on cassette from September 24 and a 10-inch vinyl release will follow on November 19. It's set to feature an array of guest musicians, including Joseph Williams and and Steve Lukather from the group Toto, who wrote the lead single and feature on the track. It'll also feature contributions from hitmaker Linda Perry and the Eagles' Joe Walsh.
Ringo Starr's last EP, Zoom In, was released earlier in 2021 (March 19) and featured legends such as Starr's Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney, as well as Nirvana and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl.
In a press release, Starr revealed: "I've been saying I only want to release EPs at this point and this is the next one."
He continued, "what a blessing it's been during this year to have a studio here at home and be able to collaborate with so many great musicians, some I've worked with before and some new friends." The studio Starr is referring to is Roccabella West, located in his Los Angeles home.
In 2019,
Another Day In The Life was released, Ringo Starr's third book from Genesis Publications, which followed the sell-out success of
Postcards From The Boys and
Photograph. The third book in the series presents more than 500 rare photographs from across Starr's career, as well as an original text of nearly 13,000 words, in which Starr shares memories and stories from throughout his life.
