Pretenders Latest Album, Hate for Sale, Out Now
The Pretenders 11th studio album,
Hate For Sale, is out now. It is the first new release from the band in four years since their 2016 album,
Alone. It is also the first album in which Hynde has co-written all of the tracks with guitarist James Walbourne. Chrissie Hynde has been keen to write with Walbourne for some time: 'I wanted to write with him since day one. James is especially sought after and has recorded with Jerry Lee Lewis, Dave Gahan, and The Rails, to name but a few. We always planned on writing while on the road, but as anyone in a band will tell you, being on tour is a procrastinator's dream come true.'
Whilst there was some delay to the album's release, originally due out in May, fans will have welcomed the five single releases from the album including 'The Buzz', 'Hate for Sale', 'Turf Accountant Daddy', 'Didn't Want To Be This Lonely', as well as a video release of 'You Can't Hurt a Fool.'
