Paul Weller Becomes One of Only Three Artists to Top the UK Album Chart in Five Consecutive Decades

Paul Weller's highly anticipated album, On Sunset, has reached the No.1 spot on the UK album chart meaning he has now had a No.1 album for five consecutive decades, dating back to his days with the Jam. Previously, John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the only artists who could claim this achievement.

His most recent solo album has also soared to the top of the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, with vinyl accounting for over a quarter of the total sales. On the news of the album's success Weller commented, 'I'm very proud of On Sunset so to have it go in at Number 1 is brilliant. Massive thanks to the team at Polydor for all their hard work.'
