Paul Smith presents That Lucky Old Sun
Today, artworks by Sir Peter Blake, created exclusively for Genesis subscribers in the latest edition
That Lucky Old Sun, are being presented by Sir Paul Smith at his "Globe" boutique at Heathrow Terminal 5. The store, which features an antique shop front and stone floors from a French chateau, is filled with things that Paul Smith says, "you do not expect to find in an airport terminal."
The renowned fashion designer is a fan and collector of both Blake's artwork, and Wilson's music. “Bringing together Peter Blake and Brian Wilson in this project is very special,"
Paul Smith says. And, in fact, he is hosting the first public exhibition of Peter and Brian's work in London, at his Albemarle Street store, Mayfair. Opening November 18th, the exhibition will be available for 10 days thereafter.
For now, the artworks are on display at Terminal 5 as part of an exclusive preview. The designer says, "Peter’s amazing work over the years has always been fantastic and by mixing this with such a musical hero results in this fantastic book and prints.”
