Sir Paul McCartney is set to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 27th June, a week after the former Beatles' 78th birthday.
He last played at the festival in 2004 and will be returning for the event's 50th anniversary.
Glastonbury co-organiser, Emily Eavis, confirmed the news on social media, writing: "Having Paul McCartney coming back to headline the Pyramid next year is an absolute dream come true. There really was no-one that we wanted more for the 50th anniversary."
McCartney also shared the news on social media, writing: "Hey Glasto - excited to be part of your Anniversary celebrations. See ya next summer!"
