On Saturday night 'One World: Together at Home' was live-streamed across America with a highlights show aired in the UK on the BBC last night. Over 100 musicians sang in their own homes to say 'thank you' to essential workers worldwide. Co-organised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Lady Gaga for Global Citizen, it was announced today that the show raised $127m for coronavirus relief efforts with the bulk of the donations coming from corporate sponsors.
The intimate performances included a diverse range of musicians including: Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci of the Killers; Elton John; Billie Eillish; Andrea Bocelli; Billie Eilish; Celine Dion; Chris Martin; Eddie Vedder; Jennifer Lopez; John Legend; Lady Gaga; Stevie Wonder; Taylor Swift and Genesis authors and contributors, Sir Paul McCartney singing 'Lady Madonna' and all four of the Rolling Stones playing 'You Can't Always get What You Want' together from their separate homes.
