New 'Isolation' Video Takes Viewers on a Tour Around Lennon & Ono's Home
Marking the 50th anniversary of John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, a new video for John Lennon's 'Isolation' has been released. Filmed in 1971, the video is a tour around their Tittenhurst Park home, giving viewers an insight into the lives of Yoko Ono and John Lennon.
From their bedroom to the bathroom, to walk-in-wardrobes, the video provides a new insight into the couple's lives, with ornaments, prints, and everyday items all featured. Announcing the release on Twitter, Ono told viewers to 'Explore the Easter Eggs' at their home, and the video description lists these hidden gems for people to find. Some of the items include Ono's book, Grapefruit, an Apple Corps paperweight and the polaroid camera Ono used to take the Imagine album cover photo.
The song, which features on the John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band Deluxe box set, is a previously unreleased raw studio mix, taken from a session at Abbey Road studios. It joins other jam sessions, new mixes, demos, live sessions, a photo book and more as part of the deluxe box set, out 23rd April. The first solo album to be released by Lennon after the breakup of the Beatles, it is widely regarded as one of Lennon's best.
