Today marks Brian Wilson's 80th birthday. In honour of '80 years of good vibrations,' some of the biggest names in music have been sending birthday messages in a special video that aired today.
'You inspired me all my life. To me, you're the only real pop genius in the world.' - Elton John
Authors and contributors to Genesis limited editions, such as Bob Dylan, Elton John, Graham Nash, David Crosby, Mickey Dolenz, and Chuck D have taken part, side by side with other legends such as Carole King, Al Jardine, John Fogerty, and Barry Gibb.
'Do me a favour. Please keep writing all your wonderful music. I'll be listening.' - Graham Nash
In the video, musical tributes are sung and played by Dylan, Smokey Robinson, Joe Walsh, and Fleet Foxes among others. Several non-musician friends take part too, such as actors Jeff Bridges and John Cusack, and movie director Cameron Crowe. Watch the full video below, and read on for details of a very special reader offer.
Everyone at Genesis joins Brian's friends in wishing him a very happy birthday, and all the very best for the year ahead.
