Eric Clapton's 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival

Members of the Genesis team who were lucky enough to attend Eric Clapton's renowned Crossroads Festival have just returned from the US. Taking place September 20th and 21st in Dallas, the festival delivered two full nights of all-star performances and special guests at the American Airlines Center. 

Performing both days, Clapton welcomed an assortment of musicians such as Sonny Landreth, Andy Fairweather Low, Nathan East, Jeff Beck, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark, Jr., Tedeschi Trucks Band, John Mayer, James Bay and more.

Eric Clapton dedicated the weekend to his friend, Alan Rogan, who passed away in the summer. Alan was a guitar technician and musician and was part of The Who family. 

During the event Eric Clapton's wife, Melia, announced an exciting new campaign, 'Turn up for Recovery'. The movement aims to raise awareness and funds for abstinence-based recovery through the power of music. For more information, click here. 

For the members of the Genesis team, one of the standout moments was Eric Clapton and Peter Frampton's first ever onstage appearance together, where they played George Harrison's song 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. 

This moving moment was made even more so by the fact that Frampton has announced that he will end touring soon due to health problems, making this performance one of his last. 

Sunshine Of Your Love tells the story of the Crossroads Festivals, 1999-2013. Eric Clapton's official limited edition book and record set, this title features archival photos and original commentary from the musicians who performed at the festivals.
