Dylan's 'Going Electric Guitar' To Be Auctioned

Bob Dylan's 1965 Fender Telecaster, used in his electric tour debut, will go up for auction on 19th May as part of the Music Icon's sale at Julien's Auctions. The guitar is expected to be bought for between $400,000 and $600,000.

The auction will be held at Hard Rock Café in New York, and a free exhibition will run from 14th May - 18th May, featuring a variety of musical memorabilia.

Dylan shared the Telecaster with Robbie Robertson throughout the Sixties and Seventies. This period in Dylan's career is brought to life by Real Moments: Bob Dylan by Barry Feinstein, a collection of photos of the musician from 1963-1974.
