Chrissie Hynde discussed her upcoming edition, Adding The Blue, in an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music News, which aired on 8th November in two parts.
The interview was recorded at the After Nyne Gallery in Holland Park, where over the next week (until Tuesday 13th November) Chrissie's artwork, as BBC's Georgie Rogers described it 'a selection of the extensive collection of paintings', will be featured in the gallery.
During the interview, Georgie Rogers talked with Chrissie about her upcoming book, her paintings and how painting can be 'meditative', as well as some new music projects that Chrissie is currently working on. The two talked about how Chrissie ventured back into the art scene after being 'waylaid by rock'n'roll,' and how Chrissie loves Van Gogh - 'but then, who doesn't,' Chrissie said.
In the interview Chrissie compared painting to her music career. 'When I finish one it's like coming off stage, there's a sense of relief that you got through it.'
Adding The Blue will be shipped following its publication on the 22nd November. For more information on the edition or to pre-order a copy, click here.
