Chrissie Hynde at London Fashion Week

The British fashion house Vivienne Westwood has unveiled its latest collection at London Fashion Week featuring prints based on vibrant paintings by her long-time friend, Pretenders front-woman, artist and Genesis author, Chrissie Hynde. In a pleasing collaboration between two of punk's most famous figures the art was exchanged for a donation to Hynde's favourite charity, non-profit Ahimsa Milk, an ethical, slaughter-free dairy farm.

Instead of the normal runway show Westwood released a punk-infused short film to showcase the British fashion house's Spring 2021 collection. See the film below:

Many of the designs motifs, such as the studies of hands and bold geometric shapes, will be familiar to Genesis subscribers as they feature in her signed limited edition, Adding the Blue, a collection of over 200 of her paintings. Working exclusively in oil on canvas, her art encompasses a wide variety of subjects, including figures, portraits of friends and family, self-portraits and landscapes.

The signed limited edition book comes with a signed, numbered print (11" x 8") entitled 'Sunday Painter'. Copies are still available to buy here.
