A Celebration of Buddy Holly + NEW Contributors

Last month, Genesis subscribers and fans of Buddy Holly gathered in Holly's hometown of Lubbock, Texas, for an evening of celebration. Hosted at the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences, attendees were treated to an onstage discussion of Holly's enduring legacy, musical performances, and an exclusive preview of the forthcoming book, Buddy Holly: Words of Love

Those in attendance were fortunate enough to hear from the world's leading experts and archivists of Buddy Holly, ending with the wonderful honour of welcoming a new ambassador to the Buddy Holly Foundation, Kenneth Broad.

Kenneth was a close friend of Buddy Holly's record producer and collaborator, Norman Petty. After Norman's passing, Kenneth cared for Vi, his wife, and managed the business that supported her. He oversaw re-releases of Petty's recordings and has served as the official tour guide of Norman's original recording studio for many years.

To cap off the evening's events, the audience was treated to a performance of Buddy Holly's songs by Charles Esten, star of the TV series Nashville, and the London West End production of the hit musical Buddy.
