A Guide to the Labyrinth

Rare Editions 2026

20 special edition copies of Jim Morrison's collected works, signed by John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and siblings Anne and Andy Morrison.

Published in 2022 and long since fully subscribed, A Guide to the Labyrinth stands as one of the most ambitious projects in the history of Genesis Publications – a monumental edition devoted to the writings and creative legacy of Jim Morrison.

Before his death, Morrison outlined his vision for a book of his work in a document titled Plan for Book. Produced in collaboration with the Morrison Estate, this official multimedia edition fulfils that proposal for the first time, bringing together Morrison’s poetry, lyrics, essays and notebooks in a single definitive publication.

'Incredibly luxurious; it's a lovely thing.' – Classic Rock

The edition centres on a 600-page large-format, quarter-bound volume presenting Morrison’s work both typeset and in his own handwriting, accompanied by hundreds of rare photographs, drawings and archival material drawn directly from the Morrison vaults.

Each signed and numbered copy of the limited edition includes:

  • A 600+ page main volume of Morrison’s poetry, lyrics and writings
  • Over 350 manuscript pages reproduced from Morrison’s original notebooks
  • Two full-size facsimile notebooks from the Morrison archive
  • A special 7" vinyl record featuring five poetry recordings from a 1969 Elektra Studios session
  • A cloth-lined archival solander case incorporating Morrison’s handwritten poetry

The edition is signed by Morrison’s Doors bandmates John Densmore and Robby Krieger, together with his siblings Anne and Andy Morrison.

Published in a strictly limited edition of 2,000 copies, A Guide to the Labyrinth represents the most comprehensive presentation of Jim Morrison’s writings ever produced — an extraordinary literary and musical document of one of rock’s most enduring artistic figures.

These archive copies are offered from the publisher’s holdings in mint, unopened condition, with a copy of the original publication prospectus additionally included.

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Rare Editions 2026

5 copies of the sold-out limited edition memoir, signed by Eric Idle.

Full of behind-the-scenes stories featuring everyone from Princess Leia to Queen Elizabeth II, Eric Idle reflects on the meaning of his own life in this remarkable memoir. From an austere English boarding school to global success with Monty Python, film, theatre and television, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life traces the unlikely path of one of Britain’s most beloved comic writers and performers.

Each numbered book in this limited edition of just 500 copies is signed by the author, Eric Idle.

Presented in a cloth-bound slipcase, the book is bound by hand in Italian leather with gold blocking and gilt page edging. In addition to the main volume, the edition includes a selection of looseleaf items reproduced from Idle’s personal archives:

  • A certificate bestowing ‘The Order of The Rutland Goat’

  • Two sheets of song lyrics, numbered and hand-signed by Eric Idle — an early draft of the ‘Galaxy Song’, first performed in the 1983 film The Meaning of Life
  • A hand-signed and numbered page of lyrics and chords for the ‘Meaning of Life’ theme song

The signed lyric sheets included in the boxed set are suitable for framing, and all items were produced exclusively for Genesis subscribers.

I Me Mine - The Extended Edition

Rare Editions 2026

7 Deluxe Artist Proof copies available, numbered in Roman numerals and estate-stamped.

I Me Mine remains the closest we come to an autobiography by George Harrison. First published in 1980, the 2017 Extended Edition significantly expanded Harrison’s original work, bringing his story fully up to date.

In his own words, I Me Mine spans the breadth of his life and music, incorporating over 50 additional song lyrics (141 in total), extended commentary, and previously unpublished photographs.

These seven copies are Deluxe Artist Proofs from the original edition of 1,000, numbered in Roman numerals and authenticated with the George Harrison Estate stamp.

Printed on Italian art paper and quarter-bound by hand with gold foil blocking and gilt page edging, each volume features Shepard Fairey’s cover artwork screen-printed on buckram. The book is housed in a solander case and accompanied by a specially pressed 7-inch single containing studio and demo versions of All Things Must Pass — a record available exclusively with the Deluxe edition.

For Rare Editions 2026, each copy is accompanied by:

• A facsimile of the original 1980 I Me Mine publication brochure
• A 2017 Extended Edition launch brochure

These Artist Proof copies have remained in the publisher’s custody since publication and are supplied in complete, mint boxed condition, as originally issued.

Sometime in New York City | Lithograph

Rare Editions 2026

4 lithographs available in this Rare Editions release.

Created to accompany the 1995 Genesis publication of Sometime in New York City, this striking large-format lithograph features Bob Gruen’s iconic portrait of John Lennon — dramatically overlaid in saturated colour reminiscent of a theatrical film poster.

Designed in collaboration with the studio Wherefore Art?, the piece was conceived as a bold visual counterpart to the limited edition book. However, it was never released commercially. The prints remained unused, held within the publisher’s archive for three decades.

Only twelve lithographs were produced in total. Four examples are offered here.

Edition details

• Edition size: 12 prints
• Dimensions: 680mm × 980mm (26¾” × 38½”)
• Method: Offset lithography
• Paper: Heavy-weight Italian coated art paper

The lithograph is supplied framed as standard in hardwood with an acid-free mount and UV-protective acrylic glazing, and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the publisher.

Initially offered privately to Origo Members, this example is now released from the archive as part of Rare Editions 2026.

Speed of Life - Deluxe

Rare Editions 2026

Only 1 Deluxe Artist Proof copy available, signed by David Bowie and Masayoshi Sukita.

The Deluxe edition of Speed of Life represents the most complete expression of the four-decade creative partnership between David Bowie and Masayoshi Sukita. This Artist Proof copy, numbered in Roman numerals, was reserved at the time of publication and not made generally available.

Conceived as a book, print and vinyl boxed set, the edition brings together Sukita’s photography, an artist-signed fine art print and an exclusive 7-inch record in a single archival presentation.

Fully bound in lacquered turquoise calfskin leather, plated to a high gloss finish, the natural full grain of the aniline leather ensures each volume possesses its own unique character. The cover features a mirrored plate inset with a previously unseen outtake from Sukita’s celebrated 1977 Heroes session.

Exclusive to the Deluxe edition is an artist-signed photographic print – a studio portrait of Bowie reproduced as an archival C-Type print on Fuji Crystal Archive paper (297mm × 225mm / 12" × 9") and individually signed by Masayoshi Sukita.

Also included is a specially pressed 7-inch picture disc presenting Parts 1 and 2 of Bowie’s 1980 recording It’s No Game, originally released on Scary Monsters.

The Deluxe volume, print and vinyl are housed in a hand-bound drop-back solander case in black buckram and Japanese silks, with a recessed compartment for the record.

This Artist Proof copy has remained in the publisher’s custody since publication and is supplied in complete, mint boxed condition, accompanied by an original 2012 Speed of Life prospectus.

With only a very small number of Deluxe Artist Proofs ever produced, this represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most sought-after editions of Speed of Life directly from the publisher.
