Weller To Play Benefit Concert for Japanese Disaster Victims

Genesis author and rock legend Paul Weller will headline a charity concert on April 3 to raise money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11. He will be joined at London's Brixton O2 Academy by former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon, Primal Scream and Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye with all proceeds going to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.

Paul Weller: 'I really wanted to do something to show solidarity and sympathy with the Japanese people. Japan is a place I've been to many times in the last 30 years. I've made many friends there and have been treated very well.

'They are a kind race of people. My heart goes out to them. The line up is great for the show and it's gonna be a brilliant night.'

Tickets for the show are available from Friday 25th of March.

The thoughts of all of us here at Genesis are with our many friends and subscribers in Japan at this devastating time.
