We Will Rock You... Again?

Rumours are circulating that Queen plan to release a new album along with a follow-up musical to We Will Rock You.

Brian May has said that he and Roger Taylor have been "going through some old drawers", looking for unreleased songs and demos from the 1980s, some of which may even feature front-man Freddie Mercury. May commented, "The songs are there, it's just a question of finding time to get the right production". The last album Queen released was 'The Cosmos Rocks' in 2008, which was the first containing new material since their 1995 LP dedicated to the memory of Freddie Mercury, 'Made in Heaven'.

He also revealed that "we want to do a new musical to follow We Will Rock You". In an interview with the BBC in 2009, he already hinted that a film adaptation of their first musical had been proposed. May hasn't give away any other details about their plans, so fans will just have to wait and see...
