Upcoming Exhibition: The Who Collection by Colin Jones

Colin Jones, a renowned photographer who took iconic photos of The Who as they started their career, will be featured in an upcoming exhibition, The Who Collection

The exhibition will be organised by Aperture, an official Leica dealer and second-hand camera and lens shop in central London and is set to run from February 26th until April 30th, 2020.

Located on Riding House Street, W1W 7DT, near Oxford Circus station, this will be Aperture's first photography exhibition at their new Riding House Street showroom.

Colin Jones captured The Who in the Sixties before their first no. 1 single and subsequent success, Jones took pictures of the band in clubs and music halls, capturing their early performances as well as candid shots of their day-to-day routines.

The exhibition will feature 20 photographs, all of which are hand-printed by Colin Jones and are available to purchase.

Colin Jones' photography also features in the Genesis edition, Maximum Who

'This book would not look the same without him. I have used a lot of his shots because they have never been seen and are the most evocative of the period that I've seen.' - Ross Halfin

In Maximum Who, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey and John Entwistle recall the creative rivalry, tense recording sessions, gigs and the multitude of other highs and lows that came with being thrown into the forefront of the Sixties revolution. For more information on this title, click here.
