This week in exciting news for Doors fans, it was officially announced that the band will be kicking off their 2025 60th anniversary with a series of exciting new physical releases, alongside their new anthology, Night Divides the Day.
Coming next month are a number of new archival releases, including The Doors 1967-1971, a limited edition six-LP set that houses the six studio albums the band released during Jim Morrison's lifetime. Plus, for Record Store Black Friday, there will be a four-disc remastered vinyl edition of Live in Detroit. The 25-song set is the longest concert the Doors ever performed.
In an interview with Billboard, Jeff Jampol stated that he is confident that fans will be impressed by the upcoming vinyl releases, while Night Divides the Day is "a thing of beauty". Shipping in January 2025 and following the fully subscribed The Collected Works of Jim Morrison, Jampol also revealed that this new edition has been in the works for three years with content in the book that nobody has ever talked about and photographs that have never been seen.
