Storm Thorgerson Tops Album Cover Poll

Music fans have voted Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon as the greatest album cover of all time. The famous prism artwork was conceived by design studio Hipgnosis, originally the home of designer and Genesis author Storm Thorgerson. Pink Floyd's Animals, also designed by Hipgnosis - featuring a pig floating above Battersea Power Station - came in at number 10 in the poll, conducted by website MusicRadar.com

Other Genesis authors and contributors fared well with Peter Blake's cover of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band coming in at number three, and London Calling - with its legendary photo of bassist Paul Simonon by Pennie Smith - at number four.
