Sir Paul McCartney Utilises AI for 'Final Beatles Record'
In exciting music news this week, Sir Paul McCartney has revealed he has used innovative AI technology to 'extricate' John Lennon's voice from an old demo in order to complete a currently unnamed Beatles song. After receiving the demo from Lennon's widow,
Yoko Ono, it was one of several songs on a cassette labelled 'For Paul' that Lennon had made shortly before his death in 1980.
Using new technology that was originally created for Peter Jackson's
Get Back documentary. Dialogue editor Emile de la Rey trained computers to recognise the Beatles' voices and separate them from background noise to create 'clean' audio. The song is due to be released later this year.
