Ronnie Wood Has Teamed Up With Rod Stewart for New Faces Music
In a recent interview with The Times, Ronnie Wood revealed that he's working on new Faces music alongside Rod Stewart and drummer Kenney Jones.
The interview, which was published this Saturday, saw Wood talk candidly about his experience beating cancer and what he learned through the process. "I'm making every day count. Not wasting a moment," he told The Times.
Alongside making new Faces music, Wood has also reunited with Mick Jagger on a 40th anniversary edition of the Rolling Stones' Tattoo You, which will include nine new tracks.
Though the band played a handful of small reunion shows between 2009 and 2011, Faces have not released music for almost fifty years, when they released their 1973 album Ooh La La. The band first found success as Small Faces and later recruited Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood from the Jeff Beck Group. Both went on to find further success, the former with continuing his decade-spanning solo career, and the latter as the guitarist in the Rolling Stones. Wood also went on to have a successful solo music career, as well as creating art that has gone on to be exhibited across the world.
