– Steve GormanRingo’s photography was given the star treatment it deserves, with images displaying on a cinema screen behind the speakers, and a framed set of artist-signed prints.
'With the camera you're trying to capture that moment in time. It’s the same with music – you're trying to capture that moment on tape so it lives forever.’
– Dave GrohlFollowing the morning’s presentation at ArcLight cinema, Ringo performed an exclusive showcase at SIR ahead of his tour with his All-Starr Band. The group then gave a press conference for guests and invited media, in which Ringo spoke about his new photographic memoir.
‘I've been asked to do my autobiography, but most publishers are really only interested in eight years. I had a life before I joined The Beatles, and I've had one after I left. There would be five volumes before I got into The Beatles! I thought this was a better way to do it.’
