Bob Dylan has released a new, interactivevideo for his 48-year old song, ‘Like a Rolling Stone’, in which the viewer canflick between 16 different videos to mimic changing channels on the TV. Eachchannel plays a different genre of show – including reality TV, shoppingchannels, news and music – in which everyone is actually lip-synching Dylan’ssong. No two people’s edit will be the same, and you can try this uniqueexperience for yourself by clicking here.
‘The effect can only be surrealistic if thechannels are realistic. In reality, channel-flipping is a very passive act. You're sitting back in your house, doing nothing. We wanted to make it anactive thing, reediting the song itself to make a new version.’ – Vania Heymann, the video’s director.
‘Like a Rolling Stone’ was released in 1965,an era captured by the late Barry Feinstein in REAL MOMENTS. To find out more about Feinstein’s signed limitededition book, click here.
