Musicares Foundation Charity Auction: Items Announced
Julien's Auctions announced yesterday the wide array of items that are to be sold in the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction, taking place on Wednesday 9th September, the proceeds of which go to provide aid to artists and music community professionals in times of need. A cause which is more urgent than ever due to the Covid-19 epidemic that has seen all music tours cancelled and theatres dark worldwide.
The items are offered by a diverse collection of artists, athletes and entertainers including Genesis authors Chrsisie Hynde, Eric Claption and Ronnie Wood. Chrissie Hynde has donated an original painting of Brian Eno playing an Omnichord, titled 'Brian Omnichord Sunday' (estimate: $6,000-$8,000), Ronnie Wood has offered a signed lithograph 'Decades 50's' (estimate: $2,000-$3,000) and Eric Clapton a long-sleeved denim button down shirt signed on the left pocket (estimate: $3,000-$5,000).
