Mike McCartney's Photography Featured in Get Back, New Interview Published
It has been a busy week for Mike McCartney, whose images have just been featured in The Beatles documentary,
The Beatles: Get Back. A handful of the photographs featured in the upcoming Genesis Edition,
Mike McCartney's Early Liverpool, were presented as Fifties and Sixties artifacts of early images of Liverpool and The Beatles.
Also over the weekend, a new interview was published by the Mirror, who spoke to Mike McCartney ahead of the book's release, as well as sharing never-before-seen photographs from inside the book. He joked: 'I often think if I hadn't broken my arm when I was 14, if I had become the drummer, we could have ended up being like the Gallagher brothers and never talking.'
On the first colour shot of The Beatles, McCartney said: 'In those days, colour film was very expensive, so it would have been a special present from Dad to get the colour film for me. It's brilliant to see Paul, John and George together in colour for the first time.'
