Lou Reed 1942-2013
Genesis are deeply saddened to learn the news of Lou Reed’s passing. It was a privilege to work with one of rock’s greatest innovators. Our thoughts are with Lou’s family, friends and Mick Rock, who made the following tribute.
‘Totally devastated by the death of my dear, dear friend Lou Reed. It’s very difficult to grasp. He was a true master of his art and one of the most profound influences on modern culture. And if he was your friend, he was one of the sweetest people you could ever know, with a wicked sense of humour and a capacity for deep empathy. I loved him for over 40 years.
