Jon Lord 1941-2012

Yesterday, Monday 16^th July, Jon Lord passed awayaged 71 at the London Clinic following a long battle with cancer. Asa founder member of Deep Purple, Lord co-wrote hits such as 'Smoke on theWater' and helped develop the progressive rock genre. A talented keyboardist,he also played for bands including Whitesnake and the Kinks.

Throughout his career Lord contributed to many projects,including a book in tribute to his friend, Traffic's Jim Capaldi. Like Capaldi,Lord will live on through his music and the memories of his friends.
