International Guitar Month - Win a Guitar!
This week, the first Publisher's Copies of Eric Clapton's
Six-String Stories are being dispatched from Genesis to readers around the world. Fittingly, this month is International Guitar Month, and to celebrate, you can enter our exclusive reader competition for the chance to win a free
Six-String Stories plus a Fender Vintera Telecaster.
This beautiful 'Road Worn' Telecaster is a testament to Fender's craftsmanship. Built to 1950s specifications, the manufacturer has deliberately distressed the guitar to create a vintage look and feel. The nitrocellulose finish has been aged, the metal work oxidised, and even details such as wear to the scratch plate have been added, emulating the patina of a rare vintage instrument.
This particular Telecaster, which resembles one owned by Clapton and auctioned at Christie's in 2004, was displayed during an exhibition to launch the original
Six-String Stories limited edition at Genesis Publications in 2013. It has remained in its case ever since.
THE COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.
The winner will be selected and contacted soon.
Full terms and conditions are available below.
There is perhaps no single instrument that better represents or has defined the development of rock music than the electric guitar. From early pioneers such as
Buddy Holly to modern innovators such as
Tom Morello, legendary players have never been far from the pages of Genesis books and we are honoured that so many have authored their own editions, including
Eric Clapton,
Pete Townshend,
Ronnie Wood, and
Jimmy Page, to name just a few. We hope you enjoy our selection below.
