In Memoriam Brian Roylance
The news of Brian's passing could not have been more shocking to announce but, since then, the response that has been volunteered in condolences and donations to
Guys and St Thomas' Charity has been a source of comfort and inspiration to all of his family and staff at Genesis. We hope that by providing a forum for everyone to share their thoughts, this comfort has been reciprocated too. Genesis subscribers held a very special place in Brian's affection and there can be no more fitting a tribute than for so many to pay their respects in such a collaborative way. For our part, we would like to thank you all for your kind and considerate messages over the past month or so.
His daughter and son, Catherine and Nick, have been playing an active part in the continuation of Brian's work over the past weeks, and will continue to do so. It will come as no surprise to hear how Brian was, as always, at the centre of life and creativity within Genesis, instigating work on a great number of books. Each one held its own charm for him and, though we will continue to miss him dearly, it is with a sense of respect for his faultless enthusiasm and strength of purpose that everyone at Genesis is committed to following on his path. It is with this in mind that we feel privileged to announce the publication of
TOTA '75 (The Rolling Stones Tour Of The Americas 1975) and we look forward to revealing some of the other surprises Brian had in store for Genesis subscribers, in the New Year and beyond.
