Bob Marley: One Love Trailer Unveiled
In exciting movie and music news this week, the first trailer for Bob Marley: One Love was released last night. Due to hit cinemas on 12th January 2024, the biopic is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, produced by Marley's son Ziggy and stars British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir as the revolutionary musician.
One Love covers Bob Marley's rise to fame and the problematic social conditions that gave rise to his One Love Peace concert in 1978, held during a violent political crisis in Jamaica. You can watch the full trailer below.
'To get the blessing of Ziggy and the family to come on and be the steward of the ship was significant for me because I knew that I was gonna get access to things that aren't in the public domain: real conversations and memories from people who were there in the room.' - Reinaldo Marcus Green
This historic concert where Bob famously united Jamaica's opposing political leaders is documented by Kate Simon's photographs in the upcoming publication,
Rebel Music: Bob Marley & Roots Reggae. Accompanying Simon's photographs are the stories behind the images from Simon and first-hand contributions from a cast of contributors. You can pre-order your copy from all good bookstores at
