Happy Birthday, Ringo

Today Ringo celebrates his 79th birthday. Today also marks the 11th anniversary of Ringo's peace and love birthday celebrations. 

Since 2008 Ringo has invited fans to celebrate his birthday by saying, or thinking about, 'peace and love' at noon. These celebrations began at the Hard Rock Café in Chicago, and last year he celebrated the 10th anniversary at the Hard Rock Café in Nice. 

This year, he returns to the Capitol Records Tower in L.A. The event will include special guests such his wife, Barbara Starkey, All-Starr Band alumni Sheila E, Edgar Winter, Jim Keltner, Nils Lofgren, Gregg Bissonette, friends Ed Begley Jr, T-Bone Burnett, Richard Lewis, Benmont Tench, and more. 

The event will also include performances by Ben Kyle from Romantica, Sara Watkins and Southern California rock band The Jacks.
