Faces: A Nod And A Wink from Paul Weller

We are delighted to announce Faces 1969-75 will now feature an introduction by long-time Faces fan, Paul Weller.

"Great haircuts, good clothes, fit birds, laughs and fun, football, drink and quality gear and The Music," Paul writes, "In which order of preference or importance you care to place these things is up to you. For the Faces, did that matter? Because they fucking had them all!"

"They were the older ex-mods the young kids looked up to I guess. Still interested in good clobber but had moved on from Carnaby Street fashions to Kings Road finery... The Faces were street smart, working class lads (trying to) make good. And that was a massive part of their appeal."

At Genesis we would like to offer sincere thanks to Paul for taking part. He joins former Faces and Small Faces band mates Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones in their first book to tell the Faces story, both in their own words and through hundreds of photographs and items of memorabilia, many from the musicians' personal archives.
