Eric Clapton will release a soundtrack album to accompany the documentary Life in 12 Bars, which tells the story of his long musical career to date. The documentary will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray in June.
The Life in 12 Bars album will feature various songs from all of Clapton's bands as well as his solo work, alongside influences such as Aretha Franklin, the Beatles and Muddy Waters. The track list will include unreleased material such as a 17-minute performance of 'Spoonful' from Cream's farewell tour and a live version of Derek & The Dominos performing 'Little Wing' by Jimi Hendrix.
The forthcoming Genesis edition, Sunshine Of Your Love: The Crossroads Festivals 1999-2013 captures Clapton's Crossroads guitar festivals in exclusive interview text and beautiful photos. It also tells the story of many of Clapton's bands and musical inspirations.
