Eric Clapton Announces A Ginger Baker Tribute Concert

Eric Clapton has announced a tribute concert that will honour his late friend and former bandmate Ginger Baker. 'Eric Clapton & Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker' is set to focus on Clapton and Baker's work together in bands Cream and Blind Faith.

The one-off concert will take place at London's Hammersmith Apollo on February 17th, 2020. Tickets to the event went on sale November 29th.

Proceeds from the event will go to Leonard Cheshire, a UK health and welfare charity that helps people live as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. 

The full line-up of performers for the tribute concert has not yet been announced.

Baker's social media accounts, which are overseen by his daughter Nettie, confirmed the event with the message: "Very pleased to share this news. Big thank you to @EricClapton."
