David Bowie: Last Chance
'Moonage Daydream', by David Bowie and Mick Rock, is close to selling out for ever. Fewer than 50 copies remain of the 2,500 that were made.
Released in 2002, both fans and press were genuinely astonished by this book when it was first released. The Washington Post described as 'a masterpiece' and Elle magazine as 'simply beautiful'.
Since that time, a trade edition was produced for David and Mick that featured reduced content and vastly scaled back production values. Many fans bought both - the hand-signed limited edition for their collection, and a 'mass-market' version to thumb through.
This is possibly a last chance to order the original, limited edition book. Once out of print, it will no longer exist except on the second-hand, resale market where it is sure to command a much higher price as a fine-art collector's piece. As GQ magazine wrote: 'Few books are this lovingly produced.'
