Classic Rock Magazine Spotlights Two Upcoming Genesis Editions
A Guide to the Labyrinth was termed as an 'incredibly luxurious' tome by the magazine, who went on to say the 'reproductions of his journals are artworks in their own right, and there's a seven-inch audio recording from 1969 to add voice to the written word.
'It's a lovely thing, so save up your book tokens... High-end versions of the book are signed by surviving Doors Robby Krieger and John Densmore, the drummer observing: "I couldn't get enough of Jim's writing." Here's a chance to read it and weep.'
A Guide to the Labyrinth, which takes the reader on a journey of Jim Morrison's lifetime through words - including self-published and unpublished poetry from the Morrison vault, lyrics and journals - as well as photography, is amassed in over 600 large-format pages, which are presented in both typeset and in Morrison's own handwriting throughout. All copies are signed by Robby Krieger and John Densmore.

Meanwhile, Classic Rock described David Hindley, the photographer behind Lenny Kravitz's upcoming edition The Formative Years, as 'a master of his art,' and found his and Kravitz's new limited edition to be as 'as beautiful as its subject.'
The magazine went on to say, 'Hindley was there almost every step of the way, quietly snapping away in the corner of dressing rooms, hotel rooms, outdoors and from the photo pit at concerts. The photographs themselves feature occasional cameos - Kravitz's grandfather, Bob Marley's mother, Kylie Minogue - but of course Kravitz himself, a man unnaturally blessed in the looks department, is the radiant star.'
Lenny Kravitz: The Formative Years reveals a panoramic visual landscape that documents Kravitz's emergence as an international star. Hindley, whose photographs are published here for the first time, was given full access during the legendary tours from 1989 until 1993, when Kravitz released his first three albums,
Let Love Rule, Mama Said, and
Are You Gonna Go My Way.
