Changes: Japan

The Paul Smith Space Gallery captured the fusion of British andJapanese culture at a reception for SPEED OF LIFE and the Japanese launch ofBowie and Sukita's new collaboration, the CHANGES collection.

'CHANGES at the Paul Smith Space Gallery explores thefriendship between the photographer and musician through images both formal andinformal. In the late 1970s, musicians and artists alike would inevitablycollide. One such person caught up in this creative frenzy was a young Japanesephotographer, Masayoshi Sukita. As someone that has documented the past 40years so fervently, Sukita can now afford to enjoy being in the same positionas his subjects: as the centre of attention.' - Stuart Munro, The Japan Times

The lighting, drinks, and even cubes of jelly reflected thepink and blue theme chosen by Bowie and Sukita for their limited edition book, SPEED OF LIFE.
