Cbgb Reopens Its Doors To John Varvatos

April 8 saw the launch of John Varvatos- latest boutique at the site of the now legendary CBGB club at 315 Bowery, New York. The club that came a long way from its Country, Blue Grass and Blues roots to become the epicentre of punk rock, hosting bands including The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Television, Patti Smith Group and Richard Hell and the Voidoids.

Within the concert-poster plastered and graffiti-covered walls, John Varvatos has made sure the space retains its original feel by creating a stage for in-store performances amidst his own collection of rare vinyl, picture discs, sporstwear and accessories. No such store would be complete without a set of Genesis limited editions, which have been put on display, acting as both showpieces and articles for sale.
