Astrid Kirchherr Turns 80

Our warmest wishes to artist and photographer Astrid Kirchherr from all at Genesis on her birthday.

Astrid, who turned 80 on Sunday 20^th May, is perhaps best known for her remarkable photography of The Beatles, some of the first from their early days in Liverpool and Hamburg, and for fashioning their now iconic 'mop tops'.

Astrid Kirchherr has been a close friend of Genesis Publications for many years and has contributed to four outstanding Beatles titles, including When We Was Fab, Liverpool Days, Golden Dreams and Hamburg Days.
