altrey Honoured for Charity Work

Roger Daltrey was recognised for his work with the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Music Week awards. Paul Weller presented him with the Outstanding Contribution award, praising him for his 'tireless, fantastic work' for a 'very worthwhile charity.'

'I didn't do this; I just got the idea. The music business, the comedy industry: you're the ones that have made it happen. Keep it going; we do great work. We lead the world in music, and now we lead the world in the way teenagers are treated with cancer. Onward we go. Thank you.' - Roger Daltrey in his acceptance speech

Daltrey is a longstanding patron of the charity and has arranged Teenage Cancer Trust shows for over a decade. To find out more, you can visit their website at www.teenagecancertrust.org
