2012: Happy Birthday Sir Jackie Stewart

Today, 11th June, Sir Jackie Stewart turns 73. This week wewill recognise the driver who had such a dramatic impact on the world of motorracing and, arguably, was instrumental in forming Formula One as we know it today.

The three-time Formula One World Champion also raced inFormulas Two and Three, Le Mans, CanAm, the Indianapolis 500 and two eventfulTasman Series. He was awarded an OBE for his efforts to improve safety inracing driving, and has been ranked fifth in the Top 50 Formula One racers ofall time.
